I have lots of time right now…like…lots of it to work on things for my business. New sessions to offer, returning sessions that are my most popular and organizing and cleaning the studio. But what I haven’t done is anything for my clients and those excited about booking sessions once the “stay home” order is lifted. So I came up with a What to Wear: Summer Guide to help you plan your best outfits for great prices. I know I have said before how much I LOVE shopping at Amazon. Are you aware that small town shops and boutiques can have an amazon store?! This makes it easy for you to support businesses with all the guarantees of amazon. And what about that Prime shipping? You really can’t do much better than that! So with that said, lets take a look at some outfits that go together in combinations you might not have though of. Patterns and colors, don’t be afraid of them! Much like fall you can bring out so many great colors, just keep them brighter or softer instead of muted tones. Remember to picture yourself with everyone for individual and group shots. Mom with both kids, father/son, mother/ daughter, couples etc. Make sure everyone matches without being the exact same. Have any questions about your session outfit? Contact me at DT-Photography or through my Facebook page for advice! Any link provided is an affiliate link and I may earn a small commission off anything bought through the link.
Lets start with a safer color and design choice of outfits. While I went with the traditional Man/Woman/Son/Daughter you can add or subtract however you need. If you have older kids or younger than what is shown, you should still be able to draw from these ideas!

Burgundy is such a great color, it stands out against all the green of grass and trees. Its such a great rich color for the summer time. You can tone it down with neutrals and pinks.

Yellows are the ultimate summer-y color. You can pair it with light colors, brown, neutrals and blacks. I love yellow in wild flowers and in greenery, its a great compliment to any outdoor session. Aim for a mustard or darker yellow instead of a bright yellow.

Green and orange have an island vibe and are the color trend of the season. Green and orange compliment each other perfectly for summer. Blend in perfectly to a green scenery adding in lighter colors and a little bit of orange.
